For Beyond 50's "Political" talks, listen to an interview with David Daley.  He is the editor in chief of "Salon".  You'll learn about his personal interviews with GOP strategists involved in Operation REDMAP.  It's a story of what happens when a team of smart Republican operatives spend $30 million to influence down-ballot political races and tip state legislatures from blue to red.  A massive redrawing of electoral lines and gerrymandering Congressional districts across the country that has locked Democrats out of power in Congress for years to come.

On Pluto: Inside the Mind of Alzheimer's
For Beyond 50's "Personal Growth" talks, listen to an interview with Greg O'Brien.  A journalist with more than 35 years of newspaper and magazine experience, he was given the diagnosis of Alzheimer's and there is no cure.  Many would go into denial, hide or wait to die.  Not so with O'Brien.  He's not going down without a fight.  He'll discuss what it is like to lose your mind and to see slices of your identity slipping away piece by piece.  Because he continues to exercise his brain, and his body, he remains, for now, highly functional.
