and the
Wampanoag Indians
In celebration of Thanksgiving, listen to an interview with Kalani Queypo.  He is a Native American actor of the Blackfeet tribe on the historical drama, "Saints and Strangers" (in photo on far left).  He plays Squanto who was captured and enslaved, living in Europe for a decade where he learned to speak English.  When he returned to America, he found his tribe had been decimated by disease, making him the lone survivor, and he ends up living among his "cousin" tribe of the Pokanoket.  He finds himself back at home, but not feeling at home.  Queypo will explain about the real history behind the trials and tribulations of the first settlers at Plymouth: 102 men, women and children who sailed on a chartered ship for a place they had ever seen.  Of this group, half were those we know as “Pilgrims,” religious separatists who abandoned their prior lives for a single cause: religious freedom.  The other, the “adventurers,” were motivated by real-world material objectives as opposed to spiritual ideas.  This clash of values created complex inner struggles for the group as they sought to establish new individual identities and a new colony, compounded by a complicated relationship with the Native Americans.

International Forecaster: France is Funding ISIS

The question of how ISIS is financing its operations is of so little interest to the U.S. State Department that they haven't bothered to look into it.  So in the interest of helping them out with their homework, let's connect a few dots, shall we?
Earlier this year, it was revealed that French President Fran├žois Hollande had authorized illegal shipments of arms to the Syrian terrorists in 2012.  The deliveries--including cannons, machine guns, rocket launchers and anti-tank missiles--were in direct contravention of an EU embargo that was in place at the time.

In late 2012 it was revealed that one of the most prominent backers of the Syrian terrorists was the French government, who in addition to their illegal arms shipments were also delivering money directly to the terrorist opposition leaders.
Last year the French arms export industry enjoyed its best sales in 15 years, with revenues up 18%.  The reason for the Merchant of Death bonanza?  A spike in sales to Saudi Arabia and Qatar, two of the main funders and supporters of ISIS.
Of course, not all of the blame for the fostering, funding, arming, equipping and training of ISIS belongs to France.  Much of it belongs to the United States, its Gulf allies, Turkey and Israel, as well as assorted other NATO members.  But there is a line to be drawn from the arms and funds that France supplied to the "moderate" terrorists in Syria and the seeming international operational abilities of this seemingly unstoppable terrorist boogeyman group.

France is a nation in mourning. But perhaps the French people can reserve at least some of their outrage for the government which has used their own tax money to fund, supply and support the terrorists they are now at war with.  Beyond 50's Note: Here is an  related article that was released on Monday entitled "Breaking: Putin Reveals ISIS Funded by 40 Countries, Including G20 Members."  For more from Bob Chapman, we recommend that you subscribe to his E-newsletter called "The International Forecaster."  We encourage you to listen to his past interview called "Bob Chapman: International Forecaster".
