The Dalian Method
For Beyond 50's "Spirituality" talk, listen to an interview with Mada Eliza Dalian.  She is an internationally renowned master healer, bestselling author, and creator of the Dalian Method that is a unique and modern day technique for health and consciousness.  The Dalian Method™ (DM) accelerates healing of the body, mind, and spirit interconnection by identifying, bringing to the surface, and releasing the precise thought patterns and emotions that have been imprinted in the body and energy for years and even lifetimes. As the body detoxifies from layers of repressed fear, anger, and hurtful negative emotions and belief patterns, your inner consciousness spontaneously comes to the forefront and helps you dis-identify from your judgments and negative emotions. With the repressed thought patterns and emotions released from the body, your energy begins to freely move again.  This opens the neuropathways in the body and awakens the body’s ability to heal itself.  The light of consciousness and the unobstructed energy flow through the body restores the natural health of the organs, opens the heart and frees the tremendous power it contains to heal the past and expand consciousness.

PG-50+ Movie Reviews
Beyond 50 only recommends films that are creatively responsible to reveal the finest qualities of the human spirit; allow you to think and feel deeply about life; make your heart soar; and champion human rights.

Steve Jobs
Creatively filmed as a 3-act play, you'll see the behind-the-scenes action on three different product launches by Steve Jobs - the co-founder of Apple and a legendary, techno-visionary of the 20th century.  It's a thought-provoking film with great dialogue, portraying Jobs' complex and paradoxical character: a genius, innovator, perfectionist, manipulative, egotistical, demanding, and self-righteous. (In Theatres Everywhere; Genre: Biopic, Drama; Running Time: 2 hr., 2 min.)

Bridge of Spies
Based on a true story, the film captures the Cold War period feel, full of paranoia and fear between the US and USSR.  Brooklyn lawyer James B. Donovan is asked to represent Rudolph Abel, a British national living in NYC as an artist, who is charged for being a Russian spy at an espionage trial in 1957.  Even though Donovan is only experienced in insurance law, he takes on the case and later sent to Berlin by the U.S. government to negotiate a spy swap.  It's to trade Abel for Francis Gary Powers  being help by the Russians as their prized political prisoner after his U2 plane was shot down.  (In Theatres Everywhere; Genre: Mystery & Suspense; Running Time: 2 hr., 15 min.)

Suffragette
Set in 1912 during England's Edwardian period, the film follows the suffragette movement's fight for the right to vote.  Maude Watts, an industrial laundry worker in London, is pulled into the struggle for equality that has become violent.  Civil disobedience escalates with acts of terrorism: window smashing, bombing of mailboxes
and arson.  She joins forces with radical activists Edith Ellyn, a pharmacist, and Alice Haughton of the upper class.  Beyond 50's Note: This December, women in Saudi
Arabia will be able to vote for the first time.  (In Select Theatres; Genre: Art House & International, Drama; Running Time: 1 hr., 46 min.)
