Big Girls Do Cry:
Why My Affair with Frankie Valli Matters
For Beyond 50's "Celebrity" talks, listen to an interview with April Kirkwood.  She'll talk about meeting Franki Valli of "The Four Seasons" musical group as a child at the age of 12 in 1969, and a friendship grew, which ultimately turned into a whirlwind romance that lasted a decade, starting at the age of 16.  Those times, according to Kirkwood, were "the best and worst years of my life with Franke Valli and what I learned from giving my heart to a man who was never really mine.  It’s also a multilayered tale of dysfunctional families, motherdaughter relationships, and the long lasting influence men with power can hold over the women in their lives."

 Optimal Detox: How to Cleanse
Your Body of Colloidal and Crystalline Toxins

For Beyond 50's "Natural Healing" talks, listen to an interview with Christopher Vasey, a naturopathic doctor in Switzerland.  He'll talk about how to cleanse your body of colloidal and crystalline toxins.  You'll learn that colloidals can thicken their holding fluids, which include blood and lymph. This results in circulation slowing down and can even lead to clogged vessels.  Crystal wastes are smaller in size than a rock crystal but the structure they share is the same.  They are just as hard and have sharp edges,
capable of cutting.  This gives them an aggressive and irritating nature, hence their tendency to hurt the tissues and cause inflammations.

Some foods can contribute to the build up of these wastes.  Mushrooms, sugars, and proteins tend to create crystalline toxins, along with some grains as a secondary producer of this waste due to their protein content.  Liquid foods like cooffee, tea, cocoa, wine and vinegar and similar offenders.
Carbohydrates, cheeses, oleaginous seeds and nuts, along with fatty foods are known to create colloidal wastes in the body.

Cleansing the Toxins from the Body

The main organs of elimination for Colloidal Wastes are the liver, intestines, sebaceous glands and lungs.  As for Crystal Toxins, they are released through the kidneys and sudoriferous (sweat) glands.

Vasey will explain about how to therapeutically deal with these two kinds of toxins, controlling their entry and encouraging their elimination.
