Energetic Healing with Quantum Techniques
For Beyond 50's "Natural Healing" talks, listen to an interview with Dr. Kristin Killops.  She will discuss about Quantum Techniques that is "light years" beyond other energy healing modalities.  At the age of 19, she had a miraculous healing from a near fatal disease at age 19 that is described in Dr. Andrew Weil's book, "Spontaneous Healing."  Killops became a Naturopathic Doctor, but her own healing experiences showed her that there is more to healing than addressing the physical body.  She discontinued her practice as a naturopath and became an energy healer - studying a variety of energy medicines (Reconnective Healing, BodyTalk, general hands-on energy healing,
Neuro Emotional Technique) and finally Quantum Techniques.

Under the Wire: Syria in a Time of War
For Beyond 50's "History" talks, listen to an interview with Paul Conroy, a British photojournalist and filmmaker.  He'll give his account of a friendship with Marie Colvin, considered the "greatest war correspondent of her generation," and their final assignment to one of the most hellish places on Earth - Syria in early 2012.

Marie was known for her signature style - her black eye patch and the pearls gifted from ARafat - and her fearlnessness in covering some of the world's most dangerous conflicts.

Colvin died in a rocket attack on Feb. 22 that same year in Homs, where sniper fire and rocketattacks were heaviest.  She reported on the suffering of Syrian civilians, sacrificing her life for the cause she believed in - the need to bear witness to the anonymous victims of war.

Today, the Syrian civil war is still ongoing and the human toll rising almost unnoticed.  This is a story that need to be told more than ever.
