Walking Naked in Tehran
For Beyond 50's "Personal Growth" talks during Women's History Month, listen to an interview with Ann Craig-Cinnamon.  During the mid-1970's, before her routines were labeled as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), she agreed, after dating for only four months, to marry a man nine years her senior at the tender age of 19.  Despite having never lived away from her native Kentucky home, she boldly agreed to move to Tehran just two days after her wedding.  More than 30 years later, Craig-Cinnamon can look back on her time in Tehran and recognize the impact it has had on her life and three decade career in broadcast journalism.  You'll also learn about life in Tehran before the revolution and how it impacts the world today; blazing the way for female radio broadcasters; Travel Advocacy - tips for giving back when traveling to disadvantaged countries; and overcoming the challenges of living with OCD.

   Happy Easter Sunday

Easter is the demonstration of God that life is essentially spiritual and timeless.
~Charles M. Crowe

In celebration of Easter, listen to Beyond 50's "History" interview with Mary Irwin Vickers.  She is an expert on the topic of Noah's ark and has conducted more than 25 years of research on the subject.  She traveled the world with her late husband, astronaut James Irwin.  The pair climbed Mount Ararat numerous times looking for the ark and searched for biblical antiquities throughout the Middle East.  In 1972, they founded the nonprofit Christian organization High Flight Foundation.  Beyond 50's Note: To give you a sense of size, Noah's Ark was about 3 football fields long, 2 football fields wide, and 3 stories high.  The Titanic can easily fit within it.
