The Coming Robotics Age:
Rise of the Drones

As we are near the tail end of the Information Age, the introduction of drones for combat is ushering in the Age of Robotics.  Based on trends, the new era will begin by the year 2025, according to the Futurist Society.

Drone use has been called the offspring of 9/11.  The U.S. has deployed more than 11,000 military drones this year.  About 50 other countries are using them too.  And, a dozen U.S. police departments have sought permits to fly drones while thousands more are potential customers.

Many are currently petitioning to forbid the manufacture, possession or use of drones.  Futurist Josh Calder believes that drones will not be banned and later evolve to become more precise, being equipped with intelligence, sensors and the use of lasers.

Beyond 50 encourages you to hold our officials and soldiers accountable to some sort of standard for the use of drones.  Senator Paul Rand seeks your support in this matter.  He recently drafted "The Declaration of Rights", which states that "President Obama's Justice Department has asserted  the authority to use drone strikes to kil* American citizens on American soil without due process and judicial oversight, a violation of the Bill of Rights with the U.S. Constitution."
