A Live & Online Broadcast
For Beyond 50's "Eco-Friendly & Sustainable Practices" talks, listen to an interview with Carolyn Roberts. She yearned to live in harmony with nature with her two teenage sons in the Southwest and decided to build her own dream home made of straw. With no carpentry experience, it was a labor of love and pains - rebuilding herself along the way.

For Beyond 50's "Gardening" talks, watch a video interview with Roland Evans of Bountea. He is part of a long line of family gardeners from Ireland, going back to the 1890s. His brother John (in photo above) is famous for earning 9 Guiness Book of World Records for growing the largest vegetables. According to Roland, the secret is in the soil. He will talk about how to prepare your plantings from seeds for growing them organic and very big through revitalizing the soil using a compost tea of lots of micro-organisms.
