She is of blended spirit of mixed ancestral heritage (Mi'kmaq/Black). Grandma Selina follows the path of the ancient Sacred Pipe that is over 500 years old. With this Sacred Medicine comes the Wisdom Teachings of the Ancient Ones that she carries in her heart. This talk is made possible through a collaboration between Beyond 50 and the Ringing Rocks Foundation to preserve the traditions of indigenous shamans, healers and medicine keepers worldwide.

In celebration of Earth Day on April 22nd, we'd like to introduce some of the experts for our show's "Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Practices" talks. They will be educating throughout this year, from biodynamic farm practices to primitive survival skills.

Steiner understood the Earth to be a living, interconnected organism. Based on a more spiritual understanding, the farm should be a self-contained organism that functions like a microcosm. Roland Evans is part of a long line of family gardeners from Ireland, going back to the 1890s. His brother John is famous for earning 9 Guiness Book of World Records for growing the largest vegetables. According to him, the secret is in the soil.
